About
Welcome to Raul's BBQ, a gem nestled in the heart of Laredo, Texas, at 1820 S Zapata Hwy. Known for its rich flavors and hearty portions, Raul's BBQ has earned its reputation as a must-visit for BBQ enthusiasts and taco lovers alike. Whether you’re craving authentic barbacoa or a variety of delicious breakfast tacos, this spot has something for everyone.
One of the standout offerings at Raul's BBQ is their barbacoa. It's a dish that customers rave about, particularly the cachete, which simply melts in your mouth. As Matthew Z. aptly noted, the regular barbacoa presents a luxurious balance of flavors, rich in depth yet offering a delightfully greasy component that ties together a satisfying meal. What’s even better? The tortillas, whether corn or flour, are crafted with care and served warm, enhancing the overall experience. What can be better than pairing this delectable meat with chewy, homemade tortillas?
If you find yourself with a variety of tastes in your group, Raul’s array of breakfast tacos delivers delightful options. Tacos like the Migas and Machacado are perfect for those seeking authentic and flavorful breakfast dishes. Jake R., one satisfied customer, highlighted that even picky eaters find something delectable here. The affordability of these tacos, starting as low as $1.49, ensures that everyone can indulge without breaking the bank.
For those looking for a hearty meal, consider indulging in the Raul's BBQ Plate for just $4.99. It’s an excellent option for anyone who wants to sample multiple flavors in one go. If you can’t resist a bit of tantalizing salsa and pico de gallo, the balance of freshness will beautifully cut through the richness of the meats.
Customers like Blas P. affirm what many locals already know: Raul's BBQ is the place to savor some of the best barbacoa south of the border. With plans of expanding to downtown San Antonio, this may be the perfect time to visit and see what all the buzz is about before it becomes a city-wide favorite.
So why wait? If you’re in Laredo, make Raul's BBQ your next stop. A meal here is not just about fulfilling hunger but experiencing a genuine taste of tradition.
“ Stopped by Raul off of a recommendation from some Laredo friends. I ordered the regular barbacoa meat and my other friends ordered the cachete. We opted for flour tortillas that were warmed for us. The regular barbacoa had a greasier, fattier meat composition but I thought it was pretty delicious. If you want a leaner meat get the cachete instead. It is still very tender. The tortillas were really nice and chewy and the salsa and pico de gallo helped it to not have as greasy of a taste. At 7 dollars for half a pound and 11.95 or 12.95 for a pound not including the tortillas, I felt the prices were very fair. ”
“ They definitely have the best barbacoa around. I recommend paying a tad more for the juicy, tender cachete. They also have a variety of breakfast tacos so I was able to find something for all of the kids who never want to eat the same thing at the same time. I also heard that Raul's may be coming to downtown SA. ”
“ If your in south Laredo and looking for barbacoa, this place is definitely worth checking out. ”
